several skiing spots, especially in the mountain range of Himalaya. Hills of

Skiing in Gulmarg - It is the best place for all the beginners who want
to know the basics of this sports. Skis, goggles, sticks and ski instructors
are available in many Ski shops. The longest ski run is provided by the
Gondola cable car with a slope of 2,213 m.
» Skiing in Garhwal (Uttranchal) - The snow-capped
slopes of Auli, Dayara Bugyal, Mundali offers some excellent ski slopes.
» Auli - The slopes of Auli provide opportunity for
several skiing events with panoramic view of Himalayan peaks. Its long
skiing slopes attract skiers from all over the world. A national
championship for skiing is organized in the months of February and March, by
the Winter Games Federation of India. Also a skiing training course of 7 to
14 days is conducted in the months of January-March by the Garhwal Mandal
Vikas Nigam(GMVN). It provides all the skiing equipments, boarding and
lodging facilities for all the participants.
» Dayara Bugyal - Spreading over an area of 28 sq.
km, it provides excellent ski slopes with breathtaking views of the
Himalayas.
» Mundali - The area Mundali in
Garhwal Himalays, Uttranchal, also offers some of the best snow covered ski
slopes, which are best for professional skiers.
» Skiing in Kumaon - Munsiyari offers one of the
most enthralling skiing experience in the Kumaon region. Its high altitude
places like Betulidhar and Khalia Top provide excellent conditions for
skiing.
